Taapsee Pannu on her tiff with paparazzi: ‘Appeasing them won’t get me movies’

Taapsee Pannu admits to having a bad relationship with the paparazzi. In an interview with Fever FM, the actor explained why she does not believe in appeasing them and how photographers manipulate her remarks and videos for commercial benefit. Taapsee on negative news is getting more clicks.
“Click kaise karoge tum?” Mujhe batao achhi baaton se kaun click karta? Mujhe batao tumne last news, kaun si achhi pe click kar dia? The current news is extraordinary. (How will you click on the news? Tell me: who clicks on positive news? When was the last time you clicked on positive news? Now, this type of news is more sensational. ‘She’s being unpleasant and rude to the photographers,’ so everyone goes, ‘Kya ho gaya, kya ho gaya, dekhna padega’ (what happened? Let’s see. So that’s more interesting for the audience,” Taapsee explained.

On why she doesn’t satisfy the paparazzi
“These things aren’t bringing me movies.” My films speak for themselves. So I don’t have to placate a segment of so-called media, which I don’t even refer to as direct media because they serve their vested interests by simply clicking on their portal. I don’t call them media. Taapsee stated that the media is not supposed to put out words or videos just to get people to click.

She claims the paparazzi know when they are physically too close to her, have yelled at her, or chased her car. She stated that she did not want to be pushed to apologize for her privilege. She’s a typical lady who expects people to respect her privacy and physical boundaries.

Taapsee will next appear in Phir Haseen Dillruba and Khel Khel Mein. She’s taken a break from her busy promotions to visit Paris to support her husband Mathias Boe, who is coaching India’s men’s badminton doubles team at the Paris Olympics. Taapsee came to Instagram Stories on Monday night to share a picture of herself and her sister Shagun Pannu is seated on a Vistara airplane bound for Paris.
