Sharmin Segal has received criticism on the internet for her ‘expressionless’ acting since Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi debuted on May 1. Even in interviews conducted prior to the show’s release, Sharmin’s statement that Aditi Rao Hydari is similar to a properly behaved’school girl’ piqued the interest of many X users. In a new interview with Pinkvilla, Sharmin described Aditi as the most ‘caring’ of her co-stars on the show. What Sharmin said.
When asked who was the most caring person on set, Sharmin named Aditi Rao Hydari. She also said about Aditi, “I learned to be kind. She is extremely kind. She’s very sweet. She is also very motherly to me. Very sweet. “How to be graceful, because Aditi is also very graceful.”
In the same interview, Sharmin discussed the reception of her performance and stated that she is open to ‘constructive criticism’, adding, “I’ve been working on my mental health for a very long time in my life. It’s just not throughout my acting career. When you begin to understand yourself better, it becomes much easier to realize that you live in a very large world full of people with many different points of view.”
In an earlier interview prior to the release of Heeramandi, Sharmin referred to Aditi as a’school girl’ who is punctual and adheres to every single note that is given to her, causing everyone else to be late in comparison.
