IHC orders authorities to submit date for Islamabad LG elections by July 10

ISLAMABAD – The Islamabad High Court has ordered that the authorities submit the election date for the local government elections in Islamabad by July 10.

Barrister Umar Ijaz Gillani, one of the petitioners, appeared in court on Tuesday to contest new property tax rates.

While suspending the notice of new property tax rates in the capital, the court noted that the petitioners could still pay their property taxes at the previous rates.
