PBC denounces PTI demand asking CJP not to hear SIC reserved seats case

ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) has strongly condemned the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) demand that Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa withdraw from the bench hearing a case involving the allocation of reserved seats to the Sunni Ittehad Council.

In a statement issued on Monday, the PBC said the PTI’s demand was reprehensible and amounted to putting pressure on the chief justice.

The PBC emphasized that CJP Isa was an honest and highly competent judge, reaffirming the legal community’s unwavering support for the entire judiciary, including CJP Isa.
