LAHORE – Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan convened the Punjab Assembly session on Monday, June 3.
The session was called in response to the opposition’s requisition.
According to the announcement provided by the assembly secretariat, the session will begin at 2 p.m. on June 3.
The current state of law and order, as well as other topics, will be discussed in the House.

The administration enacted the contentious “The Punjab Defamation Bill 2024” during the previous session, despite heavy resistance from the opposition and the media community.
The opposition and journalists denounced the measure, which seeks to restrict the propagation of false, falsified, and fictional news throughout the province via print, electronic, and social media.
