ISLAMABAD – Prof Ahsan Iqbal, Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, received an award from the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) Kuala Lumpur for his excellent contributions to socioeconomic development initiatives through policy, strategic thinking, effective leadership, and management.
He won the prize at the 66th meeting of the Asian Productivity Organization’s Governing Body in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which includes 21 countries, including Pakistan, according to a press statement published by the Ministry of Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives.
He was recognized for his accomplishments during all of his tenures as federal minister, which included executing innovative projects to enhance productivity in Pakistan through international networks.
Ahsan Iqbal developed progressive policies and laws that substantially aided Pakistan’s productive agenda and general growth.
The prize honors individuals who have made outstanding contributions to boosting national or regional socioeconomic productivity through their labor, innovative ideas, and influence, according to the announcement.
The Asian Productivity Organization, created in 1961, promotes productivity in the Asia-Pacific area through mutual collaboration and is committed to long-term socioeconomic growth through policy advice services in a variety of industries.
