ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) President and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s acquittal plea in the Toshakhana automobile case is scheduled to be heard today.
Judge Nasir Javed Rana of the Accountability Court will hear Nawaz Sharif’s acquittal plea.
During the proceedings, Nawaz Sharif’s counsel, Qazi Misbah, would offer arguments in support of the acquittal motion.
The hearing on Nawaz Sharif’s acquittal plea before accountability court was scheduled for yesterday (Tuesday), however it could not be held due to a public holiday.
On April 17, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) cleared former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the case involving Toshakhana automobiles.
