ISLAMABAD – Jamaat-e-Islami chairman Liaquat Baloch on Monday sharply criticized the crackdown against the peaceful protests in Islamabad, Dunya News reported.
In a statement, Liaquat Baloch warned that violence against the peaceful protest of students and civil society is unacceptable.
He stated that arresting and registering complaints against individuals who stand in solidarity with Palestine is unreasonable, and that the Islamabad administration’s response to the protests within constitutional and legal bounds is wrong.
Liaquat Baloch went on to say that Pakistani and American officials’ response to pro-Palestine marches is appalling.
