ISLAMABAD – Consultations on the dates of Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman’s visit to Pakistan are ongoing in Islamabad and Riyadh.
According to sources, no date has been set. They stated that top officials from both countries’ foreign ministries are consulting on the itinerary.
Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, is in communication with senior Saudi authorities about Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman’s visit.
There were rumors that the Crown Prince’s visit had been postponed. He was scheduled to arrive on May 19 for two days.
Meanwhile, Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zehra-Baloch denied rumors of a delay in the visit, saying that details will be made public as soon as a schedule was agreed upon by Islamabad and Riyadh.
During his visit to Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended an invitation to the prince to visit Pakistan, which he accepted.
