ISLAMABAD –Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday urged Australian companies and experts to share their knowledge and best practices with their Pakistani counterparts.
He was speaking with Australia’s High Commissioner, Neil Hawkins, who had paid him a courtesy call at the PM House.
The prime minister stated that both Pakistan and Australia had warm and cordial relations. He expressed pleasure with the existing status of bilateral relations, stating that Pakistan was eager to expand collaboration in agriculture, livestock, and mining.
The prime minister also highlighted the contribution of the Pakistani diaspora in Australia, which included a large number of students.
The high commissioner emphasized Australia’s intention to enhance ties with Pakistan and assured the Prime Minister of his cooperation.
He also updated the prime minister on forthcoming bilateral engagements, such as visits by senior Australian defence officials to Pakistan.
While highlighting the prime minister’s priority areas, the high commissioner expressed a desire in strengthening sports and cultural interaction, notably in cricket and hockey.
