ISLAMABAD –On Wednesday, the PTI founder appointed Sahibzada Hamid Raza of the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) as chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC).
According to sources, the PTI founder previously nominated Sher Afzal Marwat as chairman.
However, the PTI founder spoke with the party leadership and recommended Sahibzada for the position of chairman. He has given Omar Ayub instructions in this regard.
It is worth noting that the PAC serves an important role in maintaining transparency and accountability inside ministries, divisions, and public sector organizations. The first PAC in Pakistan was formed on May 20, 1948.
