Kangana Ranaut’s ex boyfriend Adhyayan Suman on their messy breakup: ‘I don’t want to talk about that person’

In a recent interview, Adhyayan Suman discussed his ex-girlfriend Kangana Ranaut. Kangana has lately entered politics as a BJP candidate.

Kangana Ranaut and Adhyayan Suman were in a short-term romance from 2008 to 2009. They had a nasty split, and he even made various accusations against her. The actor, who is preparing for the debut of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Netflix India series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, was asked about Kangana during an interview with Siddharth Kannan. ‘I forgot the past.’
Adhyayan stated that his ‘life has gone on’ since he was twenty. The actor, 36, refuses to discuss Kangana and their separation. “I don’t want to discuss or talk about that person you are referring to (Kangana Ranaut) because I have forgotten the past,” Adhyayan was quoted as saying.

He went on to say, “If you’re asking, I’ll give you an answer, but I’ve provided a big conclusion to this. Life has progressed significantly. It was when I was twenty. I am 36 now. Kangana has lately entered politics as a BJP candidate from Mandi in the next Lok Sabha election. She will shortly appear in the film Emergency.

Kangana and Adhyayan began dating shortly after working together on Raaz: The Mystery Continues (2009). Following their breakup, he made various claims against her, accusing her of attempting to influence him. Adhyayan claimed Kangana was an aggressive girlfriend who made his life ‘hellish’ during their one-year relationship.

In 2023, Adhyayan explained why he spoke about his breakup with Kangana ‘not in 2009, but in 2017′, some eight years after they dated. In an interview with News18, the actor stated that while he ‘received anger’ for discussing his separation in public, he had no regrets.

Shekhar Suman recently spoke with Zoom regarding Kangana and son Adhyayan’s split. In a 2023 interview with Bollywood Hungama, Shekhar was asked why he felt Kangana and Adhyayan could not be blamed for their separation. He replied, “I mean, these relationships happen, and nobody wants to sort of have a relationship and just break up and move on…”

He continued, “They (Kangana and Adhyayan) were happy when they were together, but then they went their separate ways. It was destiny. There should be no ill will or hostile attitudes towards one another. In the heat of the moment, things happen. However, one should always look back fondly.
