LAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved funds for the addition of 630 extra buses to urban public transit systems.
A Cabinet Standing Committee of Finance and Development meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Punjab chief minister, and ministers and secretaries attended.
The CM was informed on several development projects. 150 motorcycles were allowed for female police officers, and money for the upgrade of Government Pilot Boys High School on Wahdat Road were also approved.
The meeting also approved the installation of 630 public buses to the urban transportation system. The buses will be purchased for Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan, Faisalabad, and Bahawalpur.
The meeting approved special allowances for Anti-Terrorism Department under-officers, as well as the establishment of a Water and Sanitation Service Company in Sahiwal.
Syed Muhammad Hussnain TB Hospital Samli will also receive funds as a general hospital.
The CM was updated on the building of field hospitals in various locations throughout Murree.
