Amidst growing international censure of Israel’s activities, a number of celebrities are use their platforms to spread awareness.
Model Bella Hadid, who is American-Palestinian, recently criticized Israel’s apartheid system on her Instagram Story.
She responded by pointing out her own Palestinian ancestry and denouncing the injustices experienced by Palestinians, after sharing a video of an Israeli minister disputing the existence of the Palestinian people.
Bella expressed her concern at the continued carnage by sharing a video from Al Jazeera that showed losses in Syria brought on by Israeli bombings.
Bella has previously voiced her opposition to Israel’s conduct.
She confirmed that she and her family had received death threats because of their Palestinian origin and criticism of Israel in an Instagram post made after Israel carried out a fatal military operation in response to a Hamas strike. She declared that she will not allow fear to stop her.
