ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has projected rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Punjab, Islamabad, and north Balochistan.
Over the next 24 hours, the Met Office predicts significant rainfall in isolated areas of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir, as well as dust storms in the country’s south.
Moderate to severe rains may cause landslides in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Galiyat, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, affecting vulnerable areas from the evening of March 29 to March 30.
Windstorms, hailstorms, and lightning can all cause damage to standing crops, as well as loose buildings such as electric poles, automobiles, and solar panels. Tourists and farmers are recommended to use caution during this time.
According to the synoptic situation, a westerly wave hitting the western and upper portions of the country is expected to last until March 31.
Rain, wind, and thunderstorms have been reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, north Balochistan, upper and central Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan over the last 24 hours. Other regions of the country experienced partly cloudy weather.
