What Matthew said.
In a follow-up interview, Matthew said: “I have one of those licenses to get people married and Millie thought it’d be great and then Jake said it would be a great idea, so I wrote the wedding vows and they loved what I wrote for them to join hands and to become husband and wife.” He goes on to say, “It’s such a beautiful thing to be able to join two people in holy matrimony.”
Millie startled her admirers last year when she tweeted a black-and-white snapshot of herself with Jake Bongiovi on a beach, wearing a diamond ring. Using a line from Taylor Swift’s Lover, she added, “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, and I want ’em all (white heart emoji).” Jake is the son of singer Jon Bon Jovi and his wife Dorothea. Millie previously referred to Jake as her ‘partner for life’ in an Instagram post featuring various photos of the couple and their lives together.

Moreover, during a recent visit on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Millie explained how Jake proposed to her underwater. “He places the ring on my hand, and as I attempt to show him, it falls off my finger, plummeting so quickly that it was like a cinematic film. Jake flung himself so deep that the diver exclaimed, ‘You can’t do that, like your ears… literally your brain would burst.'”
Millie last appeared in the Netflix film Damsel. She will appear as Eleven in Stranger Things’ fifth and final season, which will be released later this year.
