Khawaja Asif denounces malicious campaign against martyrs

SIALKOT– Federal Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has sharply condemned the exploitation of martyrs for political purposes.

Speaking to the media in Sialkot, Asif condemned the latest terrorist tragedy in Mir Ali and emphasized the importance of national unity in battling terrorism.

Asif expressed his condolences over the deaths of a Lieutenant Colonel, a captain, and other soldiers, praising their bravery and dedication to the fight against terrorism.

The minister decried a troubling trend in which a specific political segment used social media to belittle the martyrdom of these heroic individuals.

Asif condemned this heinous behavior, emphasizing the martyrs’ crucial role in preserving national unity.

He went on to criticize the Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), accusing them of maintaining negative attitudes toward the country and its progress.

He attacked the party’s purported acts, particularly the sending of a letter to the IMF, which he saw as anti-nationalism.
