Sharon Stone has accused producer Robert Evans of forcing her to sleep with co-star Billy Baldwin thirty years ago. Billy responded to her charges.
In a recent podcast, Sharon Stone discussed her 1993 mystery film Sliver, which co-starred Billy Baldwin. As she reflected on her previous experience, the actor made some surprising charges about producer Robert Evans. According to Sharon, the late producer encouraged her to become intimate with Baldwin off-screen in order to improve their on-screen chemistry. In his podcast with Louis Theroux, she stated that Robert believed it would aid the male protagonist in ‘improvising’ his act. Billy Baldwin refutes Sharon Stone’s charges.
Billy slammed Sharon’s charges on X, writing, “Not sure why Sharon Stone is still talking about me all these years later? Does she still have a thing on me, or is she still hurt after all these years since I turned down her advances? Did she remark to her gal pal Janice Dickinson the day after I screen tested and met them on our MGM Grand flight back to New York…? “I’m going to make him fall so hard for me, it’ll make his head spin.” I have so much dirt on her, it would make her head spin, but I have kept quiet.
The tale of my meeting with Bob Evans, when I begged him to let me orchestrate the last sex scene in the photo below so I didn’t have to kiss Sharon, is legendary. I’m wondering if I should write a book and tell the many, many unsettling, kinky, and unprofessional stories about Sharon. That may be fun.”
Sharon Stone makes shocking allegations against Robert Evans
Sharon in her viral podcast had said, “He (Evans) called me to his office. He had these very low ’70s, ’80s couches, so I’m essentially sitting on the floor, when I should have been on set.” She further added, “And he’s running around his office in sunglasses explaining to me that he slept with Ava Gardner and I should sleep with Billy Baldwin, because if I slept with Billy Baldwin, Billy Baldwin’s performance would get better, and we needed Billy to get better in the movie because that was the problem.” The 66-year-old further stated, “The true problem with the film was me because I was so uptight, and so unlike a real actress who could just f%*# him and get things back on track. The underlying issue was that I was such a tight arse. She finished by stating that, despite the intimate sequences in Basic Instinct, she had no such terrible encounters with Michael Douglas, who always arrived prepared on set.
Sharon Stone is recognized for her roles in the Basic Instinct series, The Specialist (1994), Casino (1995), and Total Recall (1990).
