LAHORE- The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) and the National Radio and Telecommunications Corporation (NRTC) have inked a contract to establish 18 smart cities in Punjab.
The NRTC will help implement the Smart Safe City Project in 18 Punjab cities. The PSCA-NRTC contract was inked in the presence of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
PSCA MD Ahsan Yunus and NRTC representative Syed Amir Javed inked a contract for smart cities in Punjab.
During the briefing, it was mentioned that the project would also include the Air Quality Index Monitoring Environment Sensor. The safe city initiative in Gujarat, Jhelum, Sheikhupura, Okara, and Taxila would begin in May, according to the meeting.
The remaining projects in Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Muzaffargarh, Jhang, Attock, Hassanabdal, DG Khan, Sialkot, Murree, and Mianwali will be finished this year.
Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, P&D Chairman, Secretary Interior, Inspector General of Police, Secretary Finance, and others were also present.
