Peshawar – With Ramazan just a few days away, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal committee will convene in Peshawar on March 11 (Monday) for the moon sighting of Ramzan 1445 Hijrah.
The central committee session will begin after Asr on Monday (29 Shaaban) in Peshawar.
Abdul Khabir Azad, Chairman of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, will preside over the gathering. The committee will hold a meeting in Pesahwar, followed by zonal committee meetings in their respective locations.
Following the meeting, the committee will azan moon will rise March 10 on , although it will not be seen until March 11.
The first Taraweeh will o make a pronouncement regarding the Ramazan moon sighting or otherwise.
According to experts, the Ramccur on the night of March 11, with a 95 percent chance that the first fast will be observed on Tuesday (March 12).
Muslims over the world fast from dawn until sunset, with fasting hours ranging from 12 to 17 hours depending on geographic region.
Earlier, news outlets stated that Islamic countries would observe the crescent during Ramadan on March 10.
The moon is expected to appear after sunset in most Islamic nations on the day of the central conjunction, which is scheduled for 9 a.m. GMT, according to the International Astronomical Centre. As a result, Ramadan is anticipated to begin on March 11 in many nations.
Despite this, scientific criteria for crescent visibility imply that there is a slim probability of seeing the crescent on March 10.
